Gratitude: No fancy title. Just plain and simple. Gratitude.

Crazy how we are already at the end of march already!!! Another thing that is crazy is how much my life has changed since showing gratitude. Giving thanks every day even for the smallest things has shown me so much about myself. Practicing gratitude has shown me to be appreciative not just for the good things that I am blessed to have instead of focusing on what I don't have, but for also recognizing the importance of being grateful for the things in my life that aren't so great.
Like one of my teenage daughters being rebellious and pushing buttons simply to get a reaction when I already have a hundred things already pissing me off or my husband who just refuses to listen to the shit I have told him until I am blue in my face. Even if my daughter is being a bitch, I am still grateful to have the pleasure of having a child when so many aren't given the blessing, or to appreciate the fact that I even have a partner, who does put up with me when I'm being a mole. When we focus on what we don't like or what we don't have, we lose focus of what we do have and that leads to low vibration energies such as resentment and anger and we all know where that leads.
We then tend to practice avoidance. We avoid the not so great by putting all our attention on the good. This is where I have realized the importance of giving thanks every day. To the good, the bad and the ugly.
Gratitude goes beyond just making a checklist of things you're thankful for or solely focusing on the positive aspects of life. It's about cultivating a mindset of appreciation and acknowledgment for all experiences, both positive and negative. True gratitude involves recognizing the lessons, growth, and opportunities for change that come from challenging situations.
Instead of ignoring or avoiding negativity, practicing gratitude encourages you to embrace it with a sense of acceptance and understanding. By acknowledging the difficult moments in life and finding gratitude within them, you can shift your perspective and develop resilience in the face of adversity. This approach allows you to build a more balanced and authentic relationship with both the positive and negative aspects of your life.
I invite you to take a look at your association with the word gratitude and your relationship with it and for the remainder of March to really gain an understanding of how you display gratitude in your life.
